About Jackie Curran |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jackie Curran has more than 20 years experiences as a lawyer, having worked in all areas of legal practice and court matters. She is a qualified and experienced mediator and arbitrator and a qualified family and relationship counsellor, conflict coach and group trainer. As a result of a series of coincidences, Jackie discovered Laughter Yoga in December 2004. She was fascinated by the idea of laughing without the use of jokes or humour. After attending a Laughter Yoga workshop in Williamstown, Victoria, on 12th February 2005 with the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr Madan Kataria, she was hooked on the Laughter Yoga experience. She had never imagined she would be rolling on the floor with 40 other people laughing until she cried without having been told a single joke ! Thereafter life was never quite the same. She started a Laughter Club in Port Macquarie on 28 February 2005 and became involved in the Laughter Yoga International Team as Foundation Director, with Dr Kataria. Jackie has attended many training sessions and spiritual retreats with Dr Kataria and has qualified as a Laughter Yoga Teacher. At the first Australian Laughter Yoga conference in August 2006, she was recognised as a Laughter Yoga Ambassador for her contribution to the Laughter Yoga movement. Jackie has now moved from Port Macquarie to Sydney and runs a Laughter Yoga class each Sunday from 5.00pm to 6.00pm at the North Sydney Community Centre. She also offers Laughter Leader training for those wishing to start a Laughter Club or use Laughter Yoga in their groups or businesses. Jackie also runs Laughter Yoga workshops for organisations, businesses and community groups, and offers weekend workshops as relaxation, fun and stress relief. Jackie is passionate about changing lives with Laughter Yoga. She says it transforms people from the inside out as they release their stress and tension, reclaim their child like playfulness, develop an improved sense of humour and boost their health and creativity. Laughter Yoga is a powerful, yet simple tool of transformation, which changes and improves all aspects of peoples lives. The changes people report from practicing Laughter Yoga regularly are amazing ! |
